What are TWO important things you learned or insights you gained about any of this week’s topics?

One topic I learned a lot about over this weeks course was online trolling. I have been familiar with the term trolling before but I learned about the different ways trolling can happen. I now realize how often I see trolling take place on a daily basis. Trolling can happen on almost every social media app and can happen through either a picture,video, or text.

Have you ever experienced online harassment or trolling, hostile communication, or know someone who has?

I have experience online trolling in the past. I had a lot of experience with trolling coming out of high school from college fans and peers. I had chose the University of Minnesota over going to a University in my home state or near by. When I experienced trolling I felt confused about what the big deal was or the reasoning behind it.

How is a social media platform you like to use or are familiar with addressing, limiting, or enabling trolling, hostile communication, or misinformation?

A social media app that I use is Instagram and it has settings you can go to so you are able to report the account that is trolling or using hostile communication.
